Salena joined Perennial as a Client Service Associate in 2024 after graduating from the University of San Diego, where she earned a degree in International Business with a minor in Law and Ethics. During her time at USD, Salena developed a strong interest in the intersection of global markets and ethical business practices, which she now applies in her work supporting clients at Perennial. Her journey with Perennial began as an intern, where she impressed the team with her initiative, professionalism, and dedication—making her transition into a full-time role a natural fit.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Salena fell in love with San Diego’s vibrant culture and stunning landscapes and decided to make it her permanent home after graduation. Before entering the financial services industry, Salena spent several years as a professional equestrian rider and trainer, competing at a high level and mentoring young riders. Her equestrian career instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, patience, and commitment—qualities that now define her approach to serving clients and collaborating with her team.
Outside of work, Salena is passionate about exploring San Diego's outdoor beauty, from hiking trails to coastal vistas. She also enjoys meeting new people, discovering local culinary gems, and reconnecting with her lifelong love of horses whenever she has the opportunity. Her unique blend of experiences, both personal and professional, makes her a valuable asset to Perennial and a valued partner to clients.
